Description: D. R, Barton was a plane maker in Rochester, NY circa 1832. This a really nice 3/8 Reverse Ogee with Fillet. Sometimes called a lying flat ogee. As shown in The Wooden Plane by John Whelan, page 268. Marked '5/8' on the heel. Clear maker's mark on the toe. Plane stock measures 2-1/4 " wide. Plane iron measures 1-7/8" wide.
