Due to special hardened case material, the watch is scratch free and the leather strap with white contrast stitching has very little wear. The case is made from an ice-hardened, nickel-free material made from Damasko's patented martensitic stainless steel. It is completely hardened through a special process and is four times harder than conventional stainless steel. The crown is designed for low maintenance, freedom from wear and is functionally reliable for the entire life of the watch due to the special design of the Damasko crown. It is hardened, screwed and triple sealed for maximum protection. When screwed in, the adjusting shaft is uncoupled from the crown so that no pressure, shocks or vibrations are transmitted to the movement. In addition, Damasko's lubricant cell stores inside the crown stem and provides it with a fine film of lubricant that lasts for years. Antimagnetic shielding cage: The movement is surrounded by a protective casing consisting of a dial, movement ring and inside back, and an accurately fitting, completely closed shield. The inner casing is similar to a Faraday cage. In combination with the shape of the casing, the special alloy prevents magnetic fields from penetrating the movement and adversely affecting its accuracy. The integrated shielding cage is made of a special alloy provides protection against magnetism of up to 80,000 A/m. Anti-magnetic according to DIN8309.
