Description: DAS Hawkeye Marble Gold Chain #2MINT Run Date: 2017 This D.A.S. Hawkeye marble run has some real bright colors that can be attributed to some excellent glass that was used. This marble has an opaque appearance that allows the viewer to see some beautiful rainbow pigments of JABO glass...the oxblood alone is epic with regards to volume, swirl shape and structure. The green aventurine is an added bonus! This particular marble is mostly defined by the scarlet pigment of that huge oxblood swirl over 75% of the marble. Very few marbles have this type and size of oxblood swirl, so having this exact one in your collection is a worthy addition. As you move through the layers of this thick oxblood swirl, the red pigment changes in hue from scarlet to vermillion to coral and finally to a thin line of tangerine orange...just outstanding! The green aventurine is also spread generously around the surface area of the marble. The broad swirl of green aventurine glass has that feeling of galactic dust that might surround a planet such as Saturn with multiple rings. In my imagination, I can see the various orbits of green aventurine cosmic dust that rotates about the marble epi-center. This particular gold chain can easily be seen in the first 4 pictures. The gold chain on this marble can easily be seen in the last picture. It is the top gold line that is laid upon the white background. It is easier to see in hand due the the camera flash washing the picture out just a bit. You will have no problem showing this gold chain collectable marble to friends and family because it really pops out. Not many of these Hawkeye rainbows had gold chains, so this makes it even a bit more rare. I try to rotate the marble to give multiple views to show all possible angles. I use a Canon Rebel DSLR with built-in flash to produce as much small detail as van be shown in a photograph. This marble was manufactured using the 3/4" machine and the size of this particular marble is a huge 0.704" in diameter measured with electronic calipers. Note: what may look like specs or flaws in actually flakes of green aventurine.
