Description: Please read & note: This is a Rights holding DVD created & produced by me and is not factory made or sealed. I strive to produce the best DVD's possible from the sometimes VERY old Public Domain material. Films that are public domain are unpreserved and not professionally remastered. I remaster all of my films myself to the best possible quality achievable. My DVDs are not the quality of todays Modern DVDs or Bluray discs. If you are looking for this kind of quality then these discs are not for you. Please note this when purchasing, but also know that all of the films are very watchable. All pictures are actual screen captures from the DVDs. To keep my prices as low as possible all my DVDs are delivered in plain paper DVD sleeves and the DVDs title will be labeled on the back of the DVD envelope. (See picture) All of my DVD's come with a menu for easy film selection. Total runtime of this DVD is 29 minutes. Film 1: Munchers: A Fable (1972) COLOR Runtime 9 minutes Proto-claymation goes awry with talking teeth and a demonic tooth decay character. A food group hoe-down highlights the importance of good nutrition to help maintain healthy teeth. This film was produced by dentists to promote a balanced diet, however the fact that it hasn't (at least to my knowledge) been parodied leads me to believe that it wasn't shown to very many people. This film has it all: a two faced villain (quite literally) a moral lesson and lots of songs. Actually the more appropriate word for the songs here would be "ditties" sure they do sing some of what could be considered songs in the first half, but in the second half it turns into this weird "tell 'em and sing it back" mentality. One of the best parts is all the food groups dancing together it's just so quirky. Release Date: 1972Entered the Public Domain: 1972 Film 2: Told By a Tooth (1946) B&W Runtime 10 minutes An animated tooth lecturing you on things to do to "help him stay strong"? The tooth advocates eating hard foods, and assures children that exercise is enjoyable. When it comes to creepy, bizzare films from the 1930s, this one is a classic. Release Date: 1946Entered the Public Domain: 1975 Film 3: About Faces (1941) B&W Runtime 10 minutes State of the American people's teeth during the Great Depression. Semi-dramatic film. Danny Smith's teeth prove they are in good condition. Shows how Danny took care of them. Also shows results of inadequate dental care.Priceless moments include the narrator ordering everybody in the audience to run his or her tongue over his or her teeth (and we get to see a movie audience actually doing this), and a poor toothless sap getting spurned by a pretty woman (He doesn't even make it to first base, laments the narrator). Also watch for the scene during the army physical where this guy's suspenders are hiking his pants to the middle of his torso.
