This Disney figurine set features three charming miniatures from the beloved movie Pinocchio -- Stromboli, J.W. Foulfellow and Gideon. The set also includes Stromboli's Wagon and Little Street Lamp, both sculpted by Robert Olszewski. The set is from Goebel, who was one of the premiere creators of Disney figurines in the early 1990s before the WDCC and Olszewski each began a new series of their own. This amazing set of characters and scenery from the classic Pinocchio includes: Stromboli's Wagon (1991)The Little Street Lamp -- It fits inside a well in Stromboli's Wagon (1990)Stromboli miniature (1991)J.W. Foulfellow miniature (1990)Gideon miniature (1990) The Stromboli's Wagon scene is approximatley 9" long x 6 1/2" wide x 3 1/2" high. The Little Street Lamp is approximately # 5/8" high. The miniatures are all between 1 1/2" and 2" tall. They each come in their original boxes. This is such a colorful and detailed little scene, which can be displayed in many different ways. The Little Street Lamp can be removed from the Stromboli's Wagon set and displayed on its own. Or you can mix up where the characters stand. It makes you feel like you're watching the cartoon right in front of you. A great gift for any fan of Pinocchio. The Wagon and the Little Street Lamp were displayed for a short period, then boxed up and kept in storage. The miniatures remained in a small glass curio cabinet until I got them out for this auction. They are all in very good to excellent condition as they have not been handled much. Here's a little about Pinocchio I found on Wikipedia: Pinocchio is a 1940 American animated musical fantasy film produced by Walt Disney Productions and released by RKO Radio Pictures. Based on Carlo Collodi's 1883 Italian children's novel The Adventures of Pinocchio, it is the second Disney animated feature film, and the third animated film overall produced by an American film studio, after Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Fleischer Studios' Gulliver's Travels. With the voices of Cliff Edwards, Dickie Jones, Christian Rub, Walter Catlett, Charles Judels, Evelyn Venable, and Frankie Darro, the film follows a wooden puppet Pinocchio, who is created by an old woodcarver Geppetto and brought to life by a blue fairy. Wishing to become a real boy, Pinocchio must prove himself to be "brave, truthful, and unselfish." Along his journey, Pinocchio encounters several characters representing the temptations and consequences of wrongdoing, as Jiminy Cricket, who takes the role of Pinocchio's conscience, attempts to guide him in matters of right and wrong. Here's a little info about Goebel from their website: At Goebel it also means the highest standards of quality.
