Description: This is a Henry Disston & Son No.7 26" hand saw, It was made between 1865-1871. It has 5ppi with split brass nuts. It is in as found condition hanging in a barn. All I have done is wiped off the dust. This saw has not been messed with. The blade is straight, with all the teeth.. The split nuts have never seen a screwdriver blade. The nib is there and the no.5 is stamped in the heel. The handle is tight, with a small chip on the lower horn. PLEASE NOTE...The medallion is recessed and reads"H. DISSTON & SONS ", not Son. The Disston Institute says this was common practice as they had used up the "one son" medallions toward the toward the end of 1870-71. Email questions before bidding please!!! PLEASE NOTE; NO INTERNATIONAL BUYERS PLEASE. SHIPPING TO U.S. ONLY.
