If you are looking for a mint condition used CD in our auctions, its not going to happen. If you are extremely critical or unrealistic about condition, these are probably not items you are going to be looking for. As a courtesy to our customers, any jewel cases that didn't meet our quality standards have been replaced with new ones. After grading and review of each CD, it is put into either a mylar protective sleeve, or sealed with thick shrink wrap plastic. CDs that contain the original OBI strip will be secured inside the jewel case within the booklet insert. This is to help protect the OBI strip and keep it flat during the shipping process. We want to protect any printed matter by securing it inside the jewel case. All of our CDs will also come with a custom promotional Heavy Metal Imports OBI strip, exclusive to our customers. Glue on OBI stripsSome record labels in Japan were known to glue the OBI strip to the Jewel Case before shrink wrapping.Some OBI strips will come with glue residue, or suffered damage from removal from the jewel case. Insert discoloration (Foxing)Foxing is evident with rust colored spots which occur on paper resulting from oxidation of bothorganic and iron impurities left behind during the paper making process. This is most evident whenan additional bleaching process is added. Only when these impurities exist in the paper, givenexposure to the right humidity and temperature factors, will foxing occur.Due to periods of high humidity and heat in Japan, foxing is a common occurrence on paperproducts manufactured for CDs in the 80s and 90s. Foxing usually is more prevalent on inserts thatare white with no ink print. Inside of disc trays, spines, backs of OBI strips, lyric sheets and creditsare the most common areas for foxing to occur. USPS has increased prices on all mail services significantly in the last couple of years. We do not like these prices anymore than you do, as they impact us as well.Most orders will ship Media Mail via USPS. On occasion with larger shipments, we can obtain a good rate with UPS or Fedex. If shipping to a PO Box, or if you are using EBAY's Global Shipping, all items will be shipped Media Mail.Please note USPS isn't very consistent with scanning Media Mail shipments. If you see any lagging in tracking, do not be alarmed. This is normal and updates will come available eventually. Most Media Mail shipments arrive within a week to 10 days after leaving our originating Southern Utah Post Office.We assume no responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged items caused by courier.
