Early Miniature 18th/19th Century Oil on Board "Puritan Couple out for a Stroll"

Description: Wonderful very old miniature painting on wood panel framed in what could be the original frame with nice square nails-looks to be early 19th century or possibly mid to late 18th century-Possibly American Painting depicting a Puritan couple walking along a path of possible corn field. The outside frame measures approx. 9 X 7-1/2 inches and the board measures approx. 6 X 4 inches What's wrong with it? Painting has paint loss as pictured along with nicks, dings, chips and crackling and needs a good cleaning and restoration. The frame has nicks, chips, dings, and some missing gilding and needs a good cleaning as well.
