Description: EDMUND DULAC (1882-1953) ORIGINAL ILLUSTRATION. Arabian Nights? Likely Unpublished. SIGNED! Measures 11" x 8 3/4". Evidence of being trimmed. Watercolor or gouache on a stiff board. There are four miniature insets to the right that relate to the larger image. Undated but could be a fairly early work by Dulac. Seems to be unpublished but could be a preliminary for a book or magazine illustration. I believe it to be pre-1920. In very good condition although there is browning to the rear. Some of Dulac's published originals have sold for tens of thousands. A scarce original by one of the greats of the golden age of illustration.
