This is a so-called EB-3 copy model with mahogany neck and body, front hum and rear mini hum.The catalog lists it as "35.50 scale," but this is probably a misprint for 30.50 scale, and it uses a short scale like the original EB-3. The solid construction and solid sound of this instrument, made by Barney in the days when it was still made in Japan, make it a gem that cannot be experienced anywhere else. The guitar has a few scratches and small dents, but it is relatively clean and has little damage for its age. The truss rod is in good condition, and there is enough room for adjustment in both the forward and reverse warp correction directions. The neck warp has already been adjusted with the rod. Overall, there are some minor waviness and torsion, but it is straight for its age.The neck is straight for its age, and the setting covers this to some extent, but depending on your playing style, you may feel a little chattering.
