Description: Warm greetings from Japan. Thank you very much for visiting our listing. Up for sale today. This is Gibson Les Paul Classic 2000 Gold Top Electric Guitar. Judging from the serial number, probably it was made in 2000 00XXX. Another charm of Classic is that the serial number is stamped rather than engraved. The escutcheon, switch plate, pickguard, and jack plate are all black as per my preference, the toggle switch knobs and control knobs are also in my preferred colors, the truss rod cover is aged, and many other parts have been replaced. All original parts are still included. However, there are some cracks and chips. The pickups have not been replaced so I believe they are original. The original escutcheon is shown in the photo. The Classic does not originally have a pickup cover, but we have replaced it with a nickel one that matches the other parts (not soldered). The yellowish position marks that are unique to Classic are also beautiful. There are dents, marks and discoloration on the body, neck and metal parts, but this is to be expected after 24 years. The most noticeable dent is on the tailpiece near the 6th string. The strings currently used are flatwound Thomastik-Infeld JS111. There are absolutely no issues with the sound, it is extremely easy to play, and the tuning is stable. The previous owner usually like to play jazz-like music with a full-acoustic guitar. Made in 2000, it was still made from high-quality wood, so it will become increasingly difficult to obtain in the future. For shipping, it will be stored in the original hard case (the number lock part is broken and cannot be locked. The case has signs of wear due to storage.
