They were very careful to ensure that each new development received it's own patent number, thus limiting the competition.These books were put together by a long-time EMD employee who has since passed. I've had them in my personal library for over 35 years having purchased them from his estate.I will also include some digital examples that may be duplicates that I obtained over the past couple years. I received those from a like minded person who was dedicated to preserving EMD's rich history. I'll put those on a flash drive.Based upon the paper and the printing, I believe that these may be original examples of the first issued patents.
