Description: Extremely rare Ephraim Faience Pottery jardiniere bowl produced in 2002 in collaboration with Century Studios of St. Paul for their annual dragonfly-motif pottery pieces. According to the EFP website, two limited edition pieces were created for Century Studios in 2002 (the only year 2 pieces were produced for them). The jardiniere features three swirling dragonflies over large leaves (reminiscent of a Grueby design) and was produced in the curdled yellow glaze. It was limited to 5 numbered pieces; the bowl offered here is number 3, and I am the original owner of this piece. Marks on the bottom are the Ephraim Pottery USA 2002 mark, the potter’s stamp (Kevin Hicks), and the hand-incised 3 / 5. The item measures 10.25 inches wide, and about 5 inches high (cans of ginger ale for scale). It weighs over 6.5 pounds. There is no damage and it has no repairs. There are small glaze pops that are typical of the Ephraim curdle glaze. Due to its size and rarity I propose to have the item professionally packed and shipped via UPS for a flat fee of $40 (S&H) (USA ONLY); the final shipping will likely be more and I will cover those costs. Local pickup is also possible in Minneapolis/St. Paul.
