Description: Hi Welcome! For auction is this lovely vintage Music Box from Germany. It is a unique work of art, hand crafted from wood and hand painted. It features Santa pulling a sled and angels in procession. This beautifully detailed music box was made in the Erzgebirge region in the former East Germany by the famous company "Wendt & Kuhn". When the music plays, the platform with the figurines rotates around the stationary trees.The musical movement is a swiss THORENS movement. The sound is bright and clear and it plays very well: "Silent night". To wind it up, just turn the key on the side clockwise. There is a working stopper on the side, too. The music box is in great condition and complete, there are only very few spots where the paint is missing. Other than that, it is gorgeous! Please look at all pictures and zoom in. Nice vintage music box.Dates to the late 1980s and is marked with the Erzgebirge/expertic label from that time period.It measures 11" tall and 7" wide. Comes from a clean and smoke free home.
