I also do not know how old or new this pin is nor do I know what the cameo part of this pin in the center is actually made of? It could be shell, bone, or plastic & I am not a jewwwwwwler my self & i just do not know & the jewler that i did have look it over only tested it for gold & he did not know what the cameo part was made of either. I was told that it was a older piece, by the person whom I received it from, but it is in such great condition it is hard to believe that it could be very very old (because it looks close to new condition), but i have no way to substantiate weather it is old or new SO I AM GOING TO ASK YOU TO LOOK OVER THE PHOTOS & DECIDE THIS FOR YOURSELVES & I can not guarantee the age of this item as I just do not know. THIS ITEM IS IN CLEAN CONDITION & YOU CAN TELL BY LOOKING AT IT THAT IS HAS BEEN TAKEN CARE OF VERY WELL. THERE IS ALSO A SMALL THIN GOLD RING IN A OVAL SHAPE THAT LOOKS ABOUT THE SAME SISE AS THE PIN (as shown in my photos} & I do not have any clue as to what this other piece does or is for? , it looks like a gold wire very thin & this piece has not been tested, I do believe it to be real & I think it went with this pin, but I AM JUST THROWING THIS OPTHER PIECE IN FOR YOU FOR FREE AS I JUST DO NOT EVEN KNOW WHAT IT IS MEANT TO DO, SO NO GUARANTEES ON THE GOLD WIRE PIECE {which you were not charger anything for} & LAST OF ALL IT COMES IN THE BLACK BOX YOU SEE IN MY PHOTOS & I DO NOT KNOW IF THIS BOX IS A ORIGINAL BOX FOR THIS PIN {I would say it probally is NOT, but it protects the pin & fits well so i am throwing that in as well) I HAVE NOT DONE ANY CLEANING ON THIS PIN WHATSOEVER, BECAUSE I AM SCARED TAHT CHEMICALS MAY DAMAGE THE PIN SO I AM GOING TO LEAVE THAT TO YOU TO DECIDE AS I DO NOT WANT TO CHANCE IT.
