Description: Seller: Alley-Antiques DESCRIPTION: Interesting vintage large natural Coquina Fossilized Gastropod Shell Stone Marble Vase. Nice size and very heavy at over 10 lbs for the pair. Nice half Column form bookends. Wonderful patterns in this natural marble stone with ancient shell fossils. The marble was turned and polished. The ancient fossils are natural in this type of marble and create a fabulous look with the allover pattern. Vintage. Good condition for age. There are no major chips or repairs. Keep in mind that this type of marble has natural flaws inherent to their type of stone and production. You may see voids or tight cracks etc.. (Although I didn't see any damages). Measures about 7" talland almost 6" wide at widest point. Weighs around 10 lbs. 7 oz.. Great vintage example. Look at pictures as they are part of description.
