Description: Fender Bassman 50 (export model) from 1965. This is the most desirable and most rare of the vintage Fender Bassman range. This model was only produced from January to March 1965, making it an all out collectors piece. It has twin channel, AA165 circuit and an adjustable bias trim pot. The filter caps have been replaced as one started to leak. Other than this, it's all original and had a recent service. The back panel was missing when I purchased the amp in 1998. I had a panel fashioned for me, it's not great but works. The valves are new and only warmed up every few weeks at home. This was my regular gigging amp for nearly 20 years and never let me down once. It was serviced regularly and always cased to protect it when in transit. The case is included in the sale. It's homemade but survived European baggage handlers on many tours. Now I'm slightly older (my back reminds me often) and tend to play more Jazz than anything else, it's time for another to be the custodian of this fine piece of history. Please note, as the item is listed elsewhere I retain the right to remove from sale at anytime. More images to follow.
