Description: Several years ago I went to a lapidary sale where a lot of rough was offered for sale. I purchased a cornbread biscuit sized piece of rough having no idea what it would look like inside. Truly the outside gave no indication of what I would find. When I slabbed it recently, I found this gorgeous unusual material. No one I have asked can tell me anything about it. I have looked high and low for something resembling it - nothing! Now I am offering one slab of this for sale. If you have any identification guesses, please let me know.I hand cut, cabbed and polished this material. The piece is whole and fracture free. The back is flat.
