Description: This is an Easton Press edition of "For Whom the Bell Tolls" by Ernest Hemingway. There is an introduction by Sinclair Lewis and lithographs by Lynd Ward. It was published in 1968. The leather cover is a maroon color with lovely gold embossed details and it has a nice smell. It is a hardback book measuring 7x10" 498 pages. The gold colored ribbon bookmark is inside. The edges of the pages are gold. The bookplate is inside loose, not attached. My guess is that it is no longer sticky considering the age. I was the first person to open this book, as the binding is quite stiff and I heard the 'crack' of the saying 'crack open a book'. There is very minor edge and corner wear from being on the shelf. You can see one small area of edge wear in picture 12, near the corner of the top right cover. No writing inside, no ripped or missing pages, no dog-eared corners. Just a gorgeous edition of this classic tale. FREE PRIORITY SHIPPING with tracking IN THE US. Ships from my non-smoking home in the US. Thank you for looking.
