Description: Click Photos To Enlarge Description This is a RARE find. Made by Fornarina Italy. Dress has such a wonderful Avant Garde Urban chic vibe. Made of an interesting combinations of fabrics & textures. The bodice of the dress is made with a stretchy soft cotton blend striped fabric. Embellished with iron on appliqué that are photo realistic images of fancy brooches. The short sleeves are split all the way to the shoulder. There is a wide black band that sits low. This is made out of a similar stretchy fabric. The skirt is made of nubby wool tweed. Black and white chunky weave with an occasional hint of bright fuchsia pink. The skirt has net tulle layers which adds fullness in the back, and peek out at bottom hem. The back is pleated and full. The front has a more straight cut. Condition: In good wearable condition, but has seam repair that is hand stitched. Located at black wide band. Heat transferred appliqué images are cracking, but it looks like part of the artwork. It gives the dress a tattered fairy look. I don't consider this a flaw per se. Extremely faint spots that are nicely hidden in the busy pattern. Located by bottom striped area in front.
