Four Tops Shake Me, Wake Me When Its Over 1966 M-1090 Nashville Matrix Press VG+

Description: For sale is a 45 RPM vinyl single by The Four Tops titled "Shake Me, Wake Me (When It's Over) b/w Just As Long As You Need Me", originally released in 1966 by Motown Records. I bought this used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it into an archival inner sleeve, then into a storage box for 45 RPM singles, that was kept under optimum conditions for both temperature and humidity until today. In the dead wax, between the labels and end of the tracks, is machine stamped "Nashville Matrix 10", followed by matrix numbers 2-J/1-G, indicating that this record was lacquered at Nashville Matrix, located in Nashville, Tennessee before early stampers were used to make this record. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound qualities. The vinyl is visually graded as Very Good Plus because of superficial sleeve marks and hairlines, none of which can be felt with a fingertip, but still with surfaces that are shiny and bright, without any smudges or scuffs. I'm play grading this record as Very Good Plus because of low levels of surface noise, none of which over-powers the music or vocals. It plays all the way through without any pops, skips or lock-ups from start to finish. You would be hard pressed to find a copy of this record in this condition, especially a Nashville Matrix pressing. This would be a welcome addition to anyone's collection.
