The low-speed compression stays the same at 16 clicks, but the high-speed compression nearly doubled its tuning range and added a firm setting at the end for enhanced climbing performance. Also, a singular rebound adjustment with a larger range takes over instead of the dual, high/low adjustment, giving us a simplified and improved adjustment. The Grip X is around 100 grams lighter than the old model Grip2 damper, bringing us much of the same capability but with a simpler function, a lighter weight, and better climbing ability.
