Egg's color fluctuates over the laying season and I do my best to send you the darkest eggs that are available at the time. If some eggs are not as dark as the picture they will still pass on the genetics for dark eggs. This pictures were taken after we selected the best looking and darkest eggs from my hens . My original flock was ordered from Bev Davis line. However over three past 8 years, I have cultivated each flock. Only keeping the darkest eggs & the prettiest birds with the most feathered feet. AIR SACS IN SHIPPING, AIR SACS INSIDE THE EGGS GET TOSSED AROUND ALOT DURING SHIPMENT. IF THE AIR SAC GET'S BROKE, THIS WILL ALSO MAKE YOUR EGG LOOK INFERTILE WHEN YOU CANDLE THEM.
