Description: A lovely impressionist painting, oil or oil gouache mix perhaps, 24" by 36" (34" by 45 1/2" framed), unsigned, the subject a young girl with the background evidently a scene in Mediterranean South of France, the Riviera. The whitewashed, luminous look overall reminds of works by noted artists Andre Gisson, Emilio Grau Sala, Charles Cobelle and the Dufy brothers (Jean and Raoul), as well as other artists of the so-called School of Paris. Condition is excellent. Frame has very slight chipping. A simpler black or even silvery frame might be complementary.
