Gentleman’s Magazine edition of September 1754, which includes printing of the terms of capitulation of Fort Necessity. Rare period printing of the surrender of George Washington at Fort Necessity - his first military campaign. This lot includes the entire issue of September 1754, which also discusses the Albany Congress of 1754 (which is considered the first act of Union amongst the American colonies), the attack and killing of Jumonville, and the battle of Fort Necessity. This is an original printing on laid paper, not a copy. Includes all pages from the September 1754 edition, from page 395 - 440 and the table of contents. In great condition, no rips, tears or missing pages for this edition. This appears to have been removed from an original bound volume. See pics for condition and ask if you have any questions.
