These are sized with a griffin hackle gauge. These are exact sizes ... if you want hackle to be smaller than hook size, please order a size or two smaller. 2. There will be enough hackle to tie at least 50 flies with half set, and 100 flies with a full set, possibly more. The feather quantity may vary with each set ... if there are longer feathers, there will be a few less, if there are smaller length ones, I will give more. 3. I size these personally, and I am a commercial fly tyer by trade. I know how to size and I have been doing this for 24 years now. 4.
