Your pants will last much longer if you make sure to rinse them after each use. Urine and fecal matter have strong acids that can cause the hardening of the plastic. We also suggest using products that do not contain petroleum, as petroleum can have the same hardening effect. Just like products containing petroleum, other oils, lotions, creams, ointments, and body sprays may harden the plastic on your pants. Never use chlorine bleach or fabric softeners to remove stains. Rather, rinse pants in warm water with a mild detergent. Never put this product in the dryer. Instead, hang the pants to dry. Keep them out of direct sunlight if possible.
