Description: This is a lightweight 1/4 wave ground plane antenna for the GMRS band to extend the range of your GMRS handheld. The elements can be removed or simply folded up and stowed in a backpack or pocket. When ready to use the antenna simply straighten out the elements and angle them down at about a 45 degree angle. The SWR will generally be less than 1.5:1 across the band. A small loop of cord is included to hang the antenna up. Add a length of cord and throw over a limb or high into a tree to greatly extend your communication range. No coax included.
