The hoses provide a custom look without the need to buy any additional parts. This kit is designed for drivers side pumps and may require hoses to be trimmed to length. Note: This hose kit is NOT applicable to the OEM 1974-1978 Mustang II power rack assembly that utilizes inverted flare fittings. If you have this application, this hose kit is not applicable to your project. The kit includes: (2) 24" stainless steel braided hoses with 90° ends installed (rack end) (1) Banjo bolt assembly for the pressure connection to the pump with 5/8" or 16mm threads (1) Custom clamp cover for the return hose which connects to a hose nipple on the pump Rack fittings in this kit are an o-ring design and are one each, 5/8"-18, and one each, 9/16"-18 Application This Part Fits This kit will fit our:1982-88 T-Bird rack/pinion # 91034340-POWP/S pump # 91032922-GMP/S pump # 91032908-BLK P/S pump # 91032908-CHR Features Please direct all questions regarding installation to the manufacturer before cutting any hose. Charts (PDF) Installation Tips Per Manufacturer - technical information regarding the hard line flare as provided in this kit: In order to provide the highest quality and strongest hardline assembly possible, the line has a hardness level, that when flared for o-ring fitting retention, will potentially yield a crack or cracks in the flare on the end of the hard line tubing. This is simply a cosmetic issue and has zero affect on the function of the assembly. This is due to the flare being simply created and used to retain the nut on the hard line. The nut will actually seal to the hardline via an internal o-ring in the nut on the hardline and does not rely on the flare for this sealing purpose. Because the end of the hardline is hidden internally and because the flare does not provide a seal as used on other inverted flare type fittings, any crack found or noted on the end of the hardline is purely cosmetic and is a non-issue. The Banjo fitting sleeve contacts the pump housing on the GM Gen II pump. I ended up filing off the underside of the Banjo fitting sleeve to get a good seal. This doesnt affect the performance of the stainless line or the looks.
