Description: Macmillan Illustration in Gouache on daler board. No inscription, but the work was aquired as a Macmillan illustration, sold at auction with a number of other works for Macmillan publications.The painting is in very reasonable condition with a few light foxing spots to the margins and light age toning. At some point the Daler board has been spilt in two, so there is a slight thiner area to the left, with crease to the left, top centre and other light handling/creases. It would benifit from being glued and pressed back in place, (see last three images). Drawing measures 39cm x 38cm. Overall board size 46.5cm x 54cm.
