Description: This is a 1975 GOYA GE-500 hollow-body L-5 CES electric guitar,it’s a beautiful hand-crafted instrument. This looks great in person, sunburstfinish. It comes inside a very nice original hard case. This guitar is inExcellent condition with only slight blemishes in the binding in one area, anda small scratch in between the volume and tone knobs, and one small indentationon back of the neck as well as the body to the left of the bridge, they’re veryhard to see, please see the pictures. It is a very well-made guitar andhas an L-5 CES body and L-5 tailpiece plus it has a very beautiful headstockshape. The top has 9-ply binding, and back of the body, neck, andpickguard are bound with 5-ply, the headstock has 3-ply. The fingerboardis high quality ebony with the L-5 shape near the body and is inlaid with theSuper 400 type inlays which really sets it apart, it’s a very beautiful guitarin both looks and sound. It has Lindy Fralin humbucking pickups that wereinstalled many years ago, they sound phenomenal, flat-wound strings. The actionis low and the playability is excellent. Nice high-end factory sealed tuningmachines. Low action, straight neck with excellent like new frets. It’sserial number 009001, the first one made. This beauty features a 25.5” scale length, a 17” waist, andfigured maple laminate body. Nut Width is 1- 11/16th" witha very comfortable feel. The action and playability areexcellent with the 25.5" like Gibson used on some of the originals. Thebuild quality of this rare GOYA is right up there with its USA counterpart. It sounds great, plays great, and is a must for any Gibson L-5 CES fan orvintage guitar collector. Why pay around 8 to 10k or more when you canhave an extremely nice and rare L-5 CES for less than half that amount thatrivals the Gibson L-5 CES in build quality, and sound and playability, it’s agreat guitar. This is an exact excellent example of a very fine arch-topelectric guitar. This is a great example with fine quality wood, they didimpressive work. I believe this example was built in Nagoya by the greatTerada, that is pretty much the Custom shop builders in Japan, they areresponsible for the GB10 George Benson Ibanez line, they made the high-endIbanez Artists, the Gretch reissues, some other fine models as wellas their own Tereda guitars. This guitar has excellent playability and has a beautiful tonewith a great sounding humbucking pickup with superb sound quality in a widerange. This guitar is in Mint condition! It’s gorgeous in person,it has been in the original HSC since new. The case is in excellentcondition. This is a very high-end Goya electric hollow body they madeduring this era. The quality of these Japan sourced instruments is renowned makingthese earlier instruments considerably more collectable. Vintage GoyaGuitar by CF Martin & company. This example was built in the mid-70s inJapan when Martin had Goya built their import line of the day, this pre-datesSigma. This was built during the time frame when the Japanese builders had someof the best quality woods available to them and were setting out to show theworld what they could really do. The quality of these Japan sourcedinstruments is renowned making these earlier instruments considerably morecollectable, they were only made for a couple of years after Levin was boughtby Martin and production moved from Sweden.
