This banknote was issued in 1963 through 1966 and has a deep blue design on multi colored underprint. It shows a portrait of young Queen Elizabeth facing forward to the right of the front and displays the denomination in writing in the center. The back has a black and green design on multicolored underprint and shows Britannia seated within a 8-petalled design in the center with the denomination in writing on top and in numerals in the top right and bottom left corners. The banknote has a watermark showing a Laureate Woman's Head in a continuous vertical row on the left of the front. The note is signed by J. Q. Hollom the Chief Cashier the Bank of England at the time in black ink. This particular note has a very interesting serial number it is a low number with 3 doubles. The serial number 004422 with the prefix C93 and has a vertical solid security strip located right of center if you look at the front of the note.
