Description: This is not the Spirit. It’s the Spirit Elite-big difference. This kit builds to a full house, 4 channel RC sailplane. In addition to rudder and elevator, the sailplane has ailerons and flaps. With modern radio equipment the airfoil can be tuned in flight for thermals or speed. The finished plane at 2 meter, has 645 sq in area and at 33-35 oz has a light loading of 7.3 oz /sq ft. Airfoils are SA7035 and SA7036 that provide excellent wind penetration when needed between thermals. The kit has a metal and plywood joiner for joining its two piece wing for ease of transportation and with strength enough for winch launch if desired. Can be built with either dihedral or polyhedral wing for slope soaring or high start or electric winch launch.
