HD50H includes 7/16" hex to 1/2" drive adapter with "through-hole" giving it the LD capability to use a standard drill chuck allowing one to pull on the anchor while it is being removed from the ground if your driver does not have a hole in the 1/2" square drive anvil. Extreme Duty (XD) models support variable speed impact type drivers and anchor shaft sizes up to 1" in diameter and eye screws with inside diameter of 1" or larger and eye outside diameter up to 3-1/2". Clamp nut requires 1-1/2" wrench or socket. XD75U and XD100U have special inserts to accommodate utility-type anchors with wire rope heads. Holds the anchor shaft securely to eliminate the "joint" created by other available adapters. Allows driving anchors into tighter areas than installation with a bar by hand. Example anchors/eye screws and drill/driver not included. For square drive options, it is recommended to use a driver with either a "through-hole" (preferred) or "pin detent" anvil design to allow retention during anchor extraction which usually requires pulling the driver while it is reversing the anchor out. Adapters with square drives are equipped with holes for this purpose. Not all driver anvils are equipped with holes but it is recommended to acquire a driver with this feature if anchors are going to be removed from the ground in addition to installing them. Alternatively, the HD50H comes with a hex-to-1/2" square drive adapter to use a standard drill chuck. Due to continuous improvements in design and fabrication, item received may have slightly different dimensions and appearance than the one shown but will meet or exceed the functionality described.
