Item Description GUILD G37BLD 1981 (1981) Guild G37 BLD 1981 [One with an impressive round back body] Guild, along with Gibson and Martin, was known as one of the three great acoustic guitar manufacturers and was a central player in acoustic guitar manufacturers. This item is a Guild round back acoustic that is said to have been manufactured from 1973 to 1986. The usage differs mainly between the early and late periods, with the early model having a mahogany neck and the latter model having a maple neck, which are very different in character. The year is determined to be 1981 based on the serial chart on the Guild HP. This piece has the characteristics of a late model maple neck. Body is spruce top with maple sides and back Neck is maple, fingerboard is rosewood Approximately 648mm scale 20 fret specification. The most distinctive feature is the round back body. This creates a very dynamic volume and unique compressed sound. As time has passed, there is a vertical weather check on the body, which gives it a sense of history, but I think it is in good condition considering its age. The condition is that the neck is flat. There are minor scratches and dullness of parts due to use. The nut has been replaced. The bridge saddle is as low as possible. There are signs that the truss rod cover was once cracked and repaired. There are small dents and weather checks on the body. The string height is 12F, 6th string approximately 3.0mm, 1st string approximately 2.0mm. The truss rod is in good condition in both tightening and loosening directions. The frets are about 80% thick and there are no parts that are low.
