Description: I'm the original owner of this set. My husband and I actually traveled to San Francisco in the 1970s and visited Gumps, it was so impressive, very exciting, and since I love everything oriental he bought this set for me. The original set actually had paper labels on the bottom that said "Japan". I have researched this pattern. It appears this is the Gumps "Kiku" pattern. It looks identical to the set I've seen selling on eBay however, those have been made at a later date and actually say Kiku on the back of the plates. This said, this set is pristine, we barely used it, there are no utensil scratches, no chips, no cracks. No crazing, and no repairs, it's just beautiful. The set consist of 30 pieces. It is a 5 piece place setting service for 6. The set includes 6 dinner plates, 6 salad/bread plates, 6 salad/soup bowls, 6 cups and saucers. The photos will show you each piece, including their size. The photos also show you the front and back of each piece. This weighs 25 pounds without packaging, the shipping cost is what it is, that is out of my control. Please view all the photos.
