HAJIME SORAYAMA LARGE PRINT RARE 1/1 HC SIGNED T. Lords

Description: This rare and unique print by Hajime Sorayama is a must-have for any art collector. The print is signed by the artist himself and numbered 1/1 and HC which stands for HC – Hors d’Commerce Proof If a print is signed Hors d’Commerce or HC, it means this print was destined for promotional use, most commonly as a sample for galleries or dealers. These are typically a much smaller run and a more valuable print since they are typically not available for public sale and signed specifically for a gallery. I believe this print is of Traci Lords but not 100% sure cause I found only 1 other copy. I believe this can be seen in the 1983 "Fantastic" Book and I think these were made specifically for that book (still doing research and will update. I am in talks with trying to get in touch with him for more information) The overall condition is excellent on all the prints that I have. The item measures 32" in length and 22" in width unframed. He describes his highly detailed style as "superrealism", which he says "deals with the technical issue of how close one can get to one's object."[1] Modern English-language editions of Sorayama's art books give his name as Hajime Sorayama, using conventional Western order, with given name followed by surname.
