Half-Breed Latigo 1 3/4" x 72"

Description: These are Half-Breed Latigos that are produced here at Slick Fork Saddle Shop LLC. They are hand cut and edge beveled and are cut from only USA tanned latigo leather. This item is used on the off side of your saddle unlike the near side which would have a normal latigo. A half-breed would be placed around the dee or ring of your cinch so that the dee is in the middle of the fold of the half-breed latigo. Then both ends of the half-breed latigo go around the rigging dee of your saddle and back through the cinch dee where the tongue of the cinch goes through two of the holes punched in the half-breed latigo. I mention how they are used as not everyone has used a half-breed latigo before and have seen people put them on like you would an off billet. If you put this on your saddle and it looks way to long, you probably have put it on incorrectly. On the bottom right in the picture is the fold where the cinch dee or ring goes. Where the half-breed latigo is folded at the top and two layers, it goes around your saddle's rigging dee. The pointed tails on the left go back thru the cinch buckle from the back side and the tongue goes into the holes, one in each layer of the half-breed latigo. Which holes you use will determine the length your setting. A half-breed latigo is what I always put on the saddles I built unless something else was ordered, like a latigos on both sides for an example.
