Description: Colors: Tan, yellow, metallic. A wonderful handwoven inkle belt / sash made on a handmade inkle loom, in Baltimore, MD. Sturdy one of a kind sash / belt / strap, made of mixed fibers, on a cotton warp. Belt is 78" long and 1" wide. (Fringe is not included in the length measurement). This sash can be worn as a wonderful fashion accessory, and can also be used for belts, waist sash, head band, bracelet, boot decoration, hat band, clothing trim, camera strap, guitar or purse straps and more. The fringe on this belt has not been braided at either end. UNBRAIDED FRINGE gives you a number of options with this sash 1) If you want to cut one end, just stitch 2 lines across, and cut in between the lines. This gives a clean unbarided finish at that end. or 2) stitch a line across, and cut the unbraided fringe to any desired length at that end. You can then leave the fringe unbraided at that end, (you can cut the unbraided fringe to any desired length) or you can finish that end yourself. FINISHING UNBRAIDED FRINGE 3) You can decide to finish the sash by braiding one or both ends, using a one or more of the many possible finishing techniques that weavers use.
