When I pull the bull gear pin to free spin the belt pulleys I can turn the belt pulleys while holding a chuck but it is stiff & takes effort. headstock for a SOUTH BEND 9 METAL LATHE model A. Lathe had dust & years of acquired patina on it so I misted the parts with marvel mystery oil & wiped them off. Has dust grease grime as pictured. ,,,,ebay charges & collects the tax not me.
