Description: Heathkit SB-610 Monitor Scope & Frequency Counter / Ext. AC Switch (for Scope or any other Accessory). Aluminum Counter is finished in machine-perfect 'Perlage'. (Btw., Scope trace pic shows trace brightening to the right - not so, the trace is of uniform intensity. Merely a peculiarity of the camera shutter's timing.) This Combo was created to enhance one's transmit monitoring - especially for those older Transmitters / Transceivers which didn't yet have a DIGITAL frequency display. An RCA-to-RCA cable samples the transmit RF from the SB-610 into the Counter and works with any of the SB-610 'Xmtr. Atten.' steps one selects. The Frequency Counter has an AC power Switch which simply turns the AC Outlet on the rear on/off. Plugging the SB-610's AC Cord into this Outlet frees one from having to rotate the SB-610's lower left 'Intensity' Knob to power down the Scope. Instead, the Knob stays put - at the desired Scope intensity - and the Counter's left-hand Switch takes over the Scope's on/off function. (Of course, that same switch can also be used to control AC power to any other equipment as well.) The inner Switch on the Counter independently powers the Counter on/off.
