Description: Helena Wolfsohn Dresden Hand Painted Floral Basket Gold Pierced Plate AS IS Beautiful reticulated / pierced porcelain dessert plate. Very nicely decorated with a hand painted basket with pink, purple, orange and yellow flowers. With hand painted flowers in the same colors along the border and gold gilt scrollwork and small flowers. Marked Z. S. & Co Bavaria on the reverse in green. This mark was used by Zeh Scherzer & Co between 1880 and 1918. Also marked with a blue crown over a D. This mark was used by Helena Wolfsohn in Dresden Germany between 1886 - 1891. Also marked in black Ovington Brothers New York. Has wear to the gilding, and a 1 5/8 inch long crack extending off the edge. No additional chips or cracks. Measures approximately 7 5/8 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece. IR
