Shoes designed by Arpels are in the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute. Upper and sole are in excellent condition but sole on heels need to be replaced (current one is cracked). The whole sole does not need replaced..nor does the whole heel..just the cap that goes on the bottom.
