This well-appointed Custom Shop Golden Eagle archtop features a thoughtfully selected wood package that includes a premium spruce top and solid rim set with a high-grade Maple back. The top and back are lightened to increase the acoustic values and properly voice the instrument. The 5-piece curly maple and mahogany neck is hand-shaped to a slimmer 1960s style.One Heritage jazz floating pickup has been mounted to a beautifully bound ebony pickguard with the volume thumbwheel discreetly placed along the edge of the pickguard for easy access.No details were overlooked in the creation of this classic archtop, including specially sized f-holes with elaborate binding, mother of pearl and abalone inlay down the ebony fretboard, and a tune-o-matic bridge to ensure proper intonation.This stunning instrument is a real tribute to the tradition of Kalamazoo archtop building.
