To help reduce the cost, the locking style connectors (found in the original HD2) has been replaced with the more conventional "Press Fit" RCA connectors. but still retains the premium grade wiring that is found in other MODVO higher-end cables. Description: Unlike most audio cable that only use 24 or 20 gauge wire, these HD-2 Cables use thick 16 gauge audio grade high purity OFC copper wire by Belden, which is silver plated and wrap in a high grade Teflon sleeving / Jacket and are fully shielded. Both the ground and conductor wire are hand soldered using premium silver solder. These cables provide a transparent sound quality and design that is recognized by audiophiles. Unlike the original HD2 Cables, These version features Non-locking RCA Style connectors ( which helps reduce the cost). They have your basic pressed fitting connectors which is a bit smaller in diameter than the locking style versions, but are gold plated. They still provide a solid connection. And they have a very tight fitting.
