This is for a 3D printed ADAPTER FRAME KIT to mount any of our HON30 scale narrow gauge British style steam tank locomotive kits to the Bachmann #58791 N scale Thomas the Tank Engine chassis. Black. Brand new. DOES NOT include the Bachmann #58791 Thomas loco or the British steamer shell kit. Pics are for illustrative purposes only. Kit includes the Thomas chassis adapter frame plus the front coupler wedge and rear coupler wedge/cab steps (see 1st pic). Designed to drop onto the Bachmann #58791 Thomas chassis, this adapter frame can be used to snap-mount ANY of our HOn30 British-ish steam loco kits to the Thomas mechanism to create an inside motion/cylinder steam tank locomotive. ASSEMBLY- see pics along with the below instructions. 1- Prepare the Thomas chassis by removing the shell (4 screws) and both couplers. Detach the circuit board from the chassis (1 screw). 2- Using the front and rear buffers from the British steamer shell kit, glue the buffers to the underside of each end of the adapter frame. Make sure they are centered side-to-side and flush to the frame ends. 3- Paying attention to the 'F' marking the front of the adapter frame, glue the small front coupler wedge in place behind the coupler opening in the front buffer piece. 4- Glue the rear coupler wedge/cab step in place flush with the rear buffer. The wedge/steps snap into place onto the underside of the frame. Dry snap-fit this piece before you glue. 5- Glue or drill/screw Micro Trains #2004 underslung couplers with draft boxes in place on front and rear of adapter frame. We recommend using the pre-assembled MT#2004s. You can use other couplers with some modifications. 6- Mount assembled adapter frame with couplers onto the Thomas chassis using glue on the small front and rear flat spots where the adapter frame contacts the chassis body. 7- Feed the circuit board into the cab from underneath the loco shell as you snap-attach the shell to the adapter frame. You can glue it if you prefer a permanent installation or you can leave it snap-mounted so you can change out shells as you wish. 8- Run your trains. HOn30 scale.These kits make an excellent starting point for building custom locos. Add your own details (headlights, ladders, brake wheels and gear, etc) for a very unique loco.
