Places to look for your bike's key code: On many model years the key code will stamped on your original key. (see pics) On 1960 to 1974 models (some 1975 and 1976) the code will be stamped on the face of your ignition switch or lock. (see pics) On 1975 and up models, the key code will be stamped on the housing of the ignition switch or one of the locks, removal of the switch or lock will be necessary to find the code. You will find a 5 digit number on 1975 and 1976 models, that is the key code. On 1977 and up models, you will find a 6 digit number, the last 3 digits of that number is the key code. (see pics) The key code may have been stamped on a small metal or plastic tag that came with the original key set. (see pics) The key code may be (but not always) written in your owners manual or paperwork that came with your bike when it was purchased new. The VIN contains no key code information.This listing is for 1 (one) key, cut on an Aftermarket key blank. The key you receive will look different than your current OEM key, it may be a bit longer, shorter or a different style head but will still work fine in your ignition or lock.
