Backstory On Saturday September 29th, 2018 I made the last minute decision to drive from Cedar Park, Texas to Fort Worth, Texas to attend the Official United States Post Office First Day of Issue Commemoration Ceremony for the 50th Anniversary Hot Wheel Forever stamps at the Summit Racing Lone Star Nationals at the Texas Motor Speedway. On my way there I decided to make a pit stop at a Walmart near the Speedway to purchase some Hot Wheels to bring with me to have canceled.I bought 4 of the 5 50th Anniversary Issue Hot Wheels, as the Camaros were all gone (typical). I arrived at the Speedway fully expecting there to be tons of Hot Wheels collectors with the same idea. I was the only one. The only other person at the ceremony with Hot Wheels product was an out of state philatelist who brought sections of orange track that he was canceling with the intention of mailing them to Mattel executives. I guess he thought they'd be easier to mail. So what we have here is 1 of only 4 existing First Day of Issue 50th Anniversary Hot Wheels. This has been hand canceled with the Post Offices special50th Hot Wheels Anniversary pictorial cancellation stamp.
