Philips Wouwerman was a Dutch painter of hunting, landscape and battle scenes. It is in an extensive landscape with figures and is attributed to Philip Wouwerman (1619 - 1668). Painting is very dark and layers of varnish, possible old restorations, as well as signs of over cleaning and some craquleure. Dimensions of the painting are 17" x 21" unframed and 23" x 26 1/2". Frame bear a plaque of the artist in front of the frame.
