I, Robot - Isaac Asimov (Doubleday, 1963) 1st BCE, no gutter code

Description: First book club edition hardcover copy of I, Robot by Isaac Asimov (Doubleday & Company/SFBC, 1963). No gutter code and “1963” on title page indicates a first or early printing of this beloved science fiction / dystopian / speculative fiction classic. Jacket is protected in new archival sleeve but with moderate wear to jacket faces and around the edges. Some waviness and slight discoloration to rear jacket from liquid damage. Chipping, creases and small tears around the edges. Boards are straight and clean but with corners bumped and top/bottom edges worn. Very slightly cocked spine and binding is beginning to loosen a bit, but hinges remain secure and all pages are attached. Small handwritten “M” and previous owner’s stamp and sticker (digitally obscured here for privacy) on front endpaper, otherwise all pages are clean and unmarked though tanned.
